In a late Monday afternoon announcement, Christopher Alexander disclosed his decision to resign as president of Re/Max Canada, effective Mar. 3. Alexander, who has been leading the real estate network since 2021, will remain in a consulting capacity until Jun. 30.
In a video message to Re/Max Canada affiliates, Alexander explains that after much self-reflection, he will soon share more details about his future plans, including launching his own business focusing on various industries.
In a statement to Real Estate Magazine, Alexander mentions, “Leading the exceptional professionals at Re/Max Canada for the past few years has been the highlight of my career. Working with industry-leading entrepreneurs at Re/Max has inspired me to now concentrate on advancing my own entrepreneurial aspirations…”
Alexander intends to stay connected to the brand as a brokerage owner and will continue as a consultant for the Re/Max Europe region. The search for Alexander’s successor is already in progress. CEO Erik Carlson will oversee Canadian operations during the leadership transition.
“Thanks to Christopher’s efforts, Re/Max has maintained its top market share in residential transaction sides and has reached a record-high agent count in Canada,” Carlson remarks.
