The search for a permanent CEO for the Ontario Real Estate Association is ongoing, with a new recruiter now handling the task.
A job listing recently posted by executive search firm Preston Human Capital Group aims to attract top talent to lead the real estate association, which boasts a membership of over 100,000 individuals.
“This is a unique opportunity to guide a prominent association through its next phase of growth and influence,” states the seven-page job description.
The majority of PHC’s focus is on the “social good sector,” encompassing nonprofits, charities, and social enterprises, as per its website.
The deadline for applications is June 27.
Reopening the call
OREA president Cathy Polan mentioned in a statement to Real Estate Magazine that the association was close to securing a suitable candidate.
“…Due to unforeseen circumstances, they were no longer able to move forward in the process,” Polan explained. “We aim to complete this phase of the recruitment process promptly while ensuring we select the best individual to lead the association in the years to come.”
OREA has been looking to hire a new CEO since Tim Hudak’s departure in August 2024.
Initially, OREA began its search in December with Ketchum Canada Inc., a consulting firm specializing in the nonprofit sector.
