According to Polygon co-founder Mihailo Bjelic, Fabric’s VPUs have the potential to speed up the adoption of zero-knowledge technology significantly. Bjelic stated in a press release shared with CoinDesk that the timeline for wider adoption could be accelerated from three to five years to just six to 12 months. Implementing this technology at Polygon Labs will greatly speed up the development of the AggLayer, providing real-time, cost-effective proofs much sooner than anticipated. Additionally, it will result in lower proving costs than previously believed possible in the near future.
